Minutes of a Meeting of the SPG held on Tuesday 24^th October 2017Autumn Dinner held at Poons Restaurant (now the Gosforth Palace)

The dinner was well attended. Those present in round the table order were David Robinson, Maureen Angus, Yvonne Henry, David Appleton, Adrian Morley, Judy Sunter, Mary-Clare Robinson, Chris Wright, James Henry and Brian Angus. Apologies were received from Phil and Ros Sloan and also from Kath Wright.

Scintillating conversation dominated the evening as usual. Of particular note was a discourse  between Brian and David Robinson on the history of dentistry with special reference to paediatric anaesthesia, and a good joke related by David Appleton concerning biblical Israeli history, ice-cream (Lyon’s and Wall’s), and for which this note taker cannot recall the theme.

The food and service from Poon’s in the private room booked by Mary-Clare was, as usual excellent and we polished off almost the lot; a few vegetables were left on one plate.
